Vocalist, Songwriter, Producer and Music Publisher.

Born in Matamoros, Tamaulipas, Mexico and raised in San Antonio, Texas. He began his career at the tender age of 8 under Sony (CBS Records). As a child artist, he appeared in many commercials for Pizza Hut, Coca Cola, Knorr, and Chocolate Ibarra, among others. He was also in the hit Mexican TV show Alegrías de Mediodía alongside international recording artists Alex Syntek and Lucero, one of the pioneer children variety shows in Mexican television. He made a guest appearance in an American film called “The Lost Angels” along side Donald Sutherland and the Beastie Boys.
At 18, Juan Manuel was asked to be the lead vocalist for the group Inocencia under WEA Latina. During this time, Inocencia scored 3 #1 singles. In 1995, he went on to become a BMG solo recording artist and scored a #1 song that remained on the charts for 13 consecutive weeks. The song was written and produced by him

He has toured with Los Tigres del Norte, Intocable, Emilio Navaira, La Mafia, Ramon Ayala, the late Selena and many, many, more throughout his career. He was also the lead vocalist in 1998-1999 for the international Grupo MAZZ.

Juan has collaborated on several projects with A.B. Quintanilla which includes the theme song for Veronica Castro’s International variety show “La Tocada” ; he has written songs for Emilio Navaira, Jennifer Peña, Pete Astudillo, Ram Herrera, Dezigual, Isabel Marie, Veronica Castro and many other successful artists. He possesses a GRAMMY nomination as a songwriter. Juan Manuel was honored with having his song “Muevete, Muevete, Muevete” selected as the official theme song for the 50th Anniversary Univision Network celebration. in 2005 Juan received a “Best New Artist” award in Univisions’s Premios A La Musica Latina for his production of “TABU” under Jm3 Records.

He is currently co-owner of Why Not Entertainment LLC. and JM3 Records, as well as a successful Music Publisher ; with entities in all three USA Societies (ASCAP, BMI, SESAC), he represents many artists, songwriters and music catalogs like the Grammy winning Artist Obie Bermudez, Jennifer Peña, Roke (ex Kumbia All Star) Siggno, Fito Olivares, Grupo Nueva Generacion, Simply Rayne and many more.

Juan has also been an independent licensing consultant for SESAC (Society of European Stage Authors and Composers). He is a founding member of LARAS ( Latin Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences Inc.) He is a member of The Latin Songwriters Hall of Fame, and a premier member of the AIMP ( Association of Independent Music Publishers).

Either as a vocalist, producer, songwriter or as a publisher…a fact is unmistakably evident in Juan Manuel Gonzalez’ life: his love for Music and Music Creators in all music genres.
