Founder, Alamo Beer Company
Eugene Simor is one person who can truly say, “I wasn’t born in Texas, but I got here as fast as I could.” Not only did he get here, but also he wholeheartedly embraced the pride native Texans have for their homeland. Eugene was born right in the middle of downtown Los Angeles, and spent his early days growing up in Orange County when “there were still orange trees there.” Eugene attended college at the California Polytechnic State University at San Luis Obispo and earned a degree in Industrial Technology.
At 30, he left his job as a sales engineer and set out for an adventure sailing around the world. Upon returning to the United States he anchored in San Antonio and founded the Alamo Beer Company. First available in October of 2003, the refreshing beer with its “fiercely independent spirit” will be a project that keeps Eugene fermenting for a while as sales continue to grow across the great state of Texas
At this panel, Mitch Hagney will moderate a discussion about energy and entrepreneurship. Parking available at: 503 Chestnut St, San Antonio, TX 78202
